Description
Lexington Sporting Club is seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Human Resources Intern to support the people operations behind our professional teams and business entities. This role provides hands-on experience in HR systems, reporting, and workflow improvement within a fast-paced sports organization. Working directly with the Sr. HR Generalist, the intern will play an important role in supporting daily HR operations while contributing to backend reporting improvements and process standardization across multiple entities, including front office staff, technical staff & players, and a large hourly workforce.

What You’ll Do
- Process employee updates and data changes in Paylocity under supervision
- Provide day-to-day HR operational support across salaried and hourly staff
- Assist with onboarding coordination, document tracking, and compliance file maintenance including player eligibility
- Generate and maintain recurring HR reports (headcount, staffing updates, onboarding status, seasonal workforce tracking, etc.)
- Audit employee records to ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency
- Support payroll-related data verification and workforce tracking
- Help document and standardize HR workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a structured HR intake/ticketing system for personnel changes (summer stretch project)

Requirements
- Current college student pursuing Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, or related field
- Strong computer proficiency with advanced Excel skills preferred (pivot tables, formulas, data validation)
- High attention to detail and comfort working with confidential information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a small department
- Interest in HR operations, systems management, and process improvement
