The United Soccer League (USL) is the heartbeat of American soccer. Impacting more than 200 communities across the United States, the USL is the first and only soccer organization in the United States to build a youth-to-professional pathway for both men and women within one ecosystem. That structure includes three professional leagues: Gainbridge Super League (women), USL Championship (men), and USL League One (men); two pre-professional leagues: USL League Two (men) and the USL W League (women); and two youth platforms: USL Academy and USL Youth.

Position Purpose
The Real Estate Project Manager supports the Club Expansion & Real Estate department. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day tasks, facilitating communication between team members, and ensuring the project management framework is organized and efficient. Key responsibilities will include supporting project management efforts, administering real estate processes, analyzing potential opportunities, maintaining project plans and schedules, identifying and resolving project issues and risks, ensuring internal communication and delivering stakeholder satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Club Expansion & Real Estate team by overseeing day-to-day tasks and communication between team members.
- Management, coordination and follow-up of project tasks and developing, maintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedules.
- Maintaining work schedules, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings.
- Ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Preparing necessary presentation and other materials for meetings.
- Communicating with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment on plans, actions, risks, and issues.
- Creating detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings, support investment proposals, and communicating key insights to stakeholders such as investors, developers, or company executives.
- Assisting the team with administrative functions and processes, and ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Administering internal PM & CRM system, processing updates of meetings and investor prospect contact points to ensure expansion requirements are met.
- Providing products and services at the highest standard to investor prospects.
- Ensuring adherence to USL regulations and policies.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, administration, sports management or a related field, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience and knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management and/or real estate.
- Professional certification in Project Management or Real Estate field is advantageous (e.g. Prince 2, PMI etc.).
- Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding expectations and able to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality.
- Superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, presentation and time-management skills.
- Solid computer skills and expert proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel is a must.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with department leaders to develop effective marketing strategies.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
- Current knowledge of sports industry investment and investment management trends and
regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, executives, member clubs, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must.
- Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel if / when necessary.
- Must have U.S. work authorization.
Work Environment
Based in Tampa, FL, USL Headquarters provides a vibrant and open working environment designed to promote collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and knowledge sharing. We believe in fostering a culture that encourages creativity, communication, and teamwork.
Currently, USL HQ operates on a hybrid work model. From Monday to Thursday, team members gather in person to harness the power of face-to-face collaboration. This not only strengthens the bonds within the team but also enhances communication and innovation. On Fridays, we transition to a remote work setup, providing our team with the flexibility to manage their tasks in an environment of their choosing.
Typical USL HQ hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm ET. Evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel may be necessary based on business demands.
