Position Overview
The Equipment Assistant is responsible for managing daily and post-game laundry operations, as well as supporting locker room, game-day, and occasional travel logistics. This role is execution-focused and requires consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established standards and routines.
This is a seasonal position running through November 30 2026 (With the potential to be reviewed for the following season).
Key Responsibilities

Laundry Operations (Primary Responsibility)

  • Collect player and staff laundry on training days (4 days per week)
  • Wash, dry, and hang all items on assigned player loops
  • Ensure all gear is returned to the locker room clean, organized, and ready for next-day use
  • Run multiple loads efficiently and maintain a consistent daily workflow
Post-Game Laundry
  • Wash all match kits and equipment following each game
  • Ensure all items are properly cleaned, folded, and returned to the equipment room
  • Maintain a high standard of organization and presentation post-match
Locker Room & Game Preparation
  • Set up locker room for all home games (kits, uniforms, equipment)
  • Ensure all items are clean, organized, and properly distributed
  • Follow established standards for locker room setup and presentation
Game Day Responsibilities
  • Be present on all game days to support equipment operations as needed
  • Assist with locker room setup, bench preparation, and post-game breakdown
  • Support staff with any equipment-related needs before, during, and after matches
Travel Preparation & Away Game Support
  • Prepare and pack travel gear including uniforms, equipment, and necessary items for all travel days. 
  • Follow best practices and checklists to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Occasionally attend opposition team training sessions when in market to assist with setup and breakdown
  • Deliver water, gear, and other necessary items to team hotel or designated locations when required
Equipment Room Organization
  • Maintain a clean and organized equipment room
  • Monitor inventory and report low stock as needed
Additional Support
  • Complete occasional printing tasks (rosters, labels, etc.)
Work Structure & Expectations
  • Centered around 4 training days per week, plus game and post-game responsibilities
  • Game day presence is required
  • Laundry (daily and post-game) is the top priority
  • Downtime between laundry cycles should be used for organization and preparation tasks
  • Must consistently follow established processes and standards
  • Schedule may vary based on game days and occasional travel support
Hours & Compensation
  • Average Hours: 15–18 hours per week
  • Hourly Rate: $15/hour
