Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for planning and communicating with our Front Office and Stadium facilities management (Omaha Storm Chasers and Creighton). This individual ensures proper strategy and communication within our organization for events.  This position does not include groundskeeping.
 
Responsibilities: 
·        Maintain relationship with Creighton’s Facilities department 
·        Work with Omaha Storm Chasers for maintenance of Union Omaha’s interior and exterior facilities at Werner Park, including front office, locker room, and parking lot
·        Manage the front office staff equipment list
·        Partner with Human Resources to hire gameday staff
·        Ensure game day staffing requirements are met and proper work assignments are maintained 
·        Assist Retail Operations with all off-site retail opportunities
·        Lead improvement projects to increase safety, efficiencies and capacity, ensure projects are scheduled to minimize conflicts with event schedule
·        Maintain a working knowledge of all operating systems
·        Supervise vendor personnel in the performance of facility maintenance and janitorial services
·        Order and maintain all supplies and equipment
·        Compliance with all OSHA regulations and other government safety regulations
·        Develop policies and procedures for assigned departments
·        Other duties as assigned
 
Game Day Responsibilities: 
·        Facilitate Union Omaha’s movement to and from Morrison Stadium by assisting planning for many departments travel and equipment movement and storage
·        Partner with Soccer Operations to ensure completion of all game day preparations 
·        Partner with Retail Manager on set up and tear down of Merchandise stands at Morrison
·        Manage assigned vendors
·        Assist with client and fan entertainment
·        Manage game day employees
·        Assist other departments when necessary
 
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
·        At least two years of business operations experience – sports operations preferred
·        At least two years of prior management and leadership experience preferred
·        Prior maintenance and project management experience preferred
·        Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry preferred
·        Knowledge of stadium operations preferred
·        Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment
·        Excellent customer service skills
·        Ability to solve problems quickly
·        Attention to detail
·        Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·        Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and database programs
·        Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for organizational business
·        Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights, weekends and holidays
·        Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required
 
Working Conditions:
This job is performed at a ballpark and a soccer stadium therefore there is possible exposure to extreme weather conditions.  
 
Pay:
$45,000 - $55,000
