POSITION OVERVIEW:  
 The TBU Events Coordinator Internship (non paid)  (remote work + local on-site work required in the Tampa Bay area) will support the Business Development Team by assisting with the strategic planning and coordination of multiple events (Gala's, Golf Tournaments, Pickleball Tournaments, Fundraising Events, partner appreciation parties)  associated with Tampa Bay United's pre-professional teams in USL League Two and USL W League. The internship will provide opportunities to take ownership of short-term projects and support in daily activities. 

The areas of concentration include but are not limited to: strategic planning, budgeting, contractual agreements, proposal building, presentations, etc. 

 WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of internal and external Club events
  • Create relationships with vendors and attain quotes
  • Create Project Management Boards 
  • Create events budgets and profit and loss scenarios alongside our business development team
  • Create board presentations
  • Assist in the creation of event marketing materials alongside our marketing team
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, open environment

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  •  Knowledge of sports/soccer is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with the elements of implementing and running events
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft programs, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment
  • Self-sufficient and proactive Broad commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well organized with consistent attention to detail
  • Your own Laptop 


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, and weekends, as necessary.  The role is flexible in regard to work hours as we understand this is a non paid internship geared to boost your personal portfolio. We work around your education, work, family life, however we do encourage a strong work ethic and the ability to be flexible.
