Job Title: Video Analyst (On-Site Preferred, Remote Considered)
Overview
We are seeking a Video Analyst to deliver high-quality video and data insights that drive performance, inform tactical decision-making, and support player and team development. This role is ideally based on-site for close collaboration with coaching staff, though remote contractors will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Game Scouting – Analyze recent opponent matches, code key events using video analysis software (e.g., Sportscode, Spiideo), identify tactical trends, and deliver concise scouting reports with data and curated clips.
- Match Support – Provide real-time coding and insights during games; prepare halftime reports with relevant clips and performance data to inform in-game adjustments.
- Post-Match Analysis – Compile multi-angle game footage (e.g., Spiideo, broadcast feeds), upload to platforms such as HUDL, and provide detailed post-match reports.
- KPI Reporting – Track and update team and positional performance metrics, conduct targeted coding for specific performance indicators, and prepare weekly reports for staff and players.
- Individual Player Analysis – Create tailored video and data breakdowns upon request, including custom coding windows to highlight specific technical or tactical aspects.
- Video Compilations – Assemble highlight packages from coded footage to support team meetings, scouting reviews, and player development.
- Training Analysis – Record and code training sessions (on-site preferred; remote support considered), tagging key actions and providing feedback to coaches and players.
- Systems & Workflow Development – Build and maintain customized Sportscode coding and output windows, manage HUDL platforms, and develop databases that integrate multiple video and data sources for long-term performance tracking.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in video and performance analysis within sport, ideally football/soccer.
- Proficiency with Sportscode, Spiideo, HUDL, and other performance analysis software.
- Strong tactical knowledge; coaching certifications or equivalent experience are highly valued.
- Ability to synthesize video and data into clear, actionable insights for staff and players.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of working independently and effectively in live match environments.
- Flexible availability for match days and training sessions, with preference for on-site presence but open to remote arrangements.
