Tampa Bay Sun FC is seeking passionate individuals who want to kick start their sports career with our Sales & Service Internship. We are looking for students to join our team for the 2025 / 2026 season until the end of playoffs. The position will assist in sales, service, event planning, and more! This internship is eligible for college credit. A stipend will be provided for hours worked beyond required academic credit hours.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and create revenue generating ideas through sales initiatives, marketing campaigns, and events.
- Serve as a liaison to the Tampa Bay community with our Season members and general fans.
- Energetically build new relationships by self-prospecting, cold calling, and effective campaign management.
- Assist with servicing touchpoints to Tampa Bay Sun FC Season Members.
- Develop and learn sales techniques for individual game buyers and groups.
- Perform game day responsibilities including, but not limited to, working the Season Member table, box office, managing Member benefit items and distribution, and assisting in any group experiences.
- Assist the day-to-day ticket operations through prospecting, filing, data recording, printing and distributing Box office tickets on game nights.
- Other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Desired Qualifications:
- Desire to work in sports post-graduation.
- College student majoring in sports business, marketing, or related field.
- Eligible for college credit, and ability to earn commission on sales.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Available to be at ALL home games during your time frame.
- Availability to work at minimum 20 hours in office weekly.
- Availability to work other events such as watch parties and season ticket member event.

First, it's a lot of fun... sports are fun! They're also a lot of work. We'll point you in the right direction, and you'll be given a lot of responsibility and you'll own your area. You'll help build amazing events for our community. You'll make great connections and learn a lot about the sports business.
Let's talk about the time commitment. Depending on the role, it may require more than eight hours of work in a given day, particularly event days. All interns work every home game. Depending on the role, you may have some non-game day hours (some remote), and you may cover training sessions (as needed).
These internships are best suited for students who can get college credit and/or who are looking to get their foot in the door in the extremely competitive sports industry.
