Title: Ticket Operations Intern (For Academic Credit Only) – Tampa Bay Sun FC

Position Overview:
Tampa Bay Sun FC is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and analytically strong Ticket Operations Intern to support the club’s ticketing functions throughout the 2026 / 2027 Season. This internship is designed for current undergraduate or graduate students and must be completed for academic credit through an accredited college or university.

This is a high-responsibility role within a fast-paced professional sports environment, best suited for candidates who take ownership of their work, think critically, and are eager to contribute to both revenue generation and the overall fan experience.

This position requires availability for all Tampa Bay Sun FC home matches throughout the duration of the internship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with ticket inventory management, including scaling, holds, and allocations with a high level of accuracy
  • Support the execution of ticket sales campaigns, promotions, and special offers
  • Provide timely and professional customer service to fans via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Help manage ticketing systems (SeatGeek/CRM platforms) and maintain clean, accurate data
  • Assist with group sales fulfillment and special event coordination
  • Support box office and digital ticketing operations, including mobile ticket troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support revenue-generating initiatives
  • Assist with tracking and reporting ticket sales data, including revenue, pricing, and inventory analysis
Game Day Responsibilities:
  • Assist with box office setup and operations
  • Troubleshoot mobile ticketing issues and provide real-time solutions for fans
  • Support entry management, scanning, and premium seating areas
  • Deliver a high level of customer service in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

Qualifications:
  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship
  • Must be available to work all Tampa Bay Sun FC home matches
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to confidently work with pricing, fees, and sales data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data organization, and attention to accuracy required)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound judgment in fast-paced, real-time situations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure in a live event environment
  • Experience with SeatGeek or similar ticketing platforms is preferred
  • Prior experience in sports, ticketing, or live events is a plus, but not required
  • Candidates must demonstrate confidence working with numbers and the ability to make sound, real-time decisions that directly impact revenue and fan experience
