ABOUT THE POSITION
Our goal is to create an exceptional home for players and fans, cherished within our community and respected worldwide. Tampa Bay Sun FC is in search of a seasoned Equipment Manager to supervise all facets of the team's equipment and apparel. This role involves guaranteeing that athletes and staff have their essential equipment promptly, even on weekends and certain holidays during the season.

They will collaborate with internal departments, players, and visiting teams to ensure team is operating efficiently and reaching goals. 

JOB SUMMARY
The Equipment Manager oversees the day-to-day equipment operations and logistics for the Tampa Bay Sun FC. This includes but is not limited to players, technical staff, and sporting operations.

Daily Tasks – 
  • Manage set-up and tear down of all equipment for daily training sessions. 
  • Be available for athletes and staff before, during and after sessions.
  • Ensure all team apparel and equipment is in proper condition each day and available use.
  • Launder player and staff training and match apparel. Reset player and staff lockers for the next day. 
  • Keep up to date inventory of all team apparel. 
  • Work with facilities staff to ensure daily locker room cleanings. 
  • Work with internal departments on locker room space usage for games and outside events. 
  • Ensure team apparel is embellished with necessary team and sponsor logos. 
  • Manage relationships with outside apparel, heat transfer, and field equipment vendors to ensure all team needs and requirements are met. 
 Budgeting – 
  • Work with vendors to forecast team apparel for upcoming seasons. 
  • Manage team allotment, ensuring all apparel needed has been ordered. 
  • Work with Head of Soccer Operations to build and manage equipment operations budget. 
 Home and Away Games – 
  • Ensure player and staff locker rooms are set up, making sure everyone has all necessary apparel and equipment needed. 
  • Coordinate any with opponent staff on any equipment request either for training or match day. 
  • Liaise with opponent staff for locker room set-up load in and load out.  
  • Lead the prep and packing of all team gear, staff gear, and equipment for all matches.
  • Problem solves any equipment issues that may arise during match.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 
  • Degree from an accredited four-year College or University, preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role required, soccer or professional sports experience, preferred, but not required. 
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.  
  • Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, start-up environment while managing multiple tasks at once. 
  • Effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and solutions-orientated
  • Available to work weekends, game days, and other times (often outside of traditional business hours)
  • Ability to travel with the first team for away games required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
