ABOUT THE POSITION
Our goal is to create an exceptional home for players and fans, cherished within our community and respected worldwide. Tampa Bay Sun FC is in search of a seasoned Equipment Manager to supervise all facets of the team's equipment and attire. This role involves guaranteeing that athletes and staff have their essential equipment promptly, even on weekends and certain holidays during the season.

You will collaborate with internal departments, players, and visiting teams to ensure the team is operating efficiently and reaching goals.

JOB SUMMARY
The Equipment Manager oversees the day-to-day team apparel and equipment operations and logistics for the Tampa Bay Sun FC. This includes but is not limited to players, coaches, and technical staff.

Daily Tasks –
● Responsible for ordering and tracking all team apparel and equipment.
● Keep up to date inventory of all team apparel and equipment.
● Ensure team apparel is embellished with necessary sponsor logos.
● Heat press team uniforms to league requirements.
● Manage relationships with outside apparel, heat transfer, and field equipment vendors to ensure all team needs and requirements are met.
● Be available for athletes and staff before, during and after sessions.
● Ensure all team apparel and equipment is in proper condition each day and available use.
● Launder player and staff training and match apparel. Reset player and staff lockers for the next day.
● Work with Housekeeping staff to ensure daily locker room cleanings.
● Manage inventory of locker room toiletries
● Work with internal departments on locker room space usage for games and outside events.

Budgeting –
● Work with vendors to forecast team apparel and equipment for upcoming seasons.
● Manage team allotment, ensuring all apparel and equipment needs have been ordered.
● Work with the Head of Soccer Operations to manage equipment operations budget.

Home Games –
● Ensure player and staff locker rooms are set up, making sure everyone has all necessary apparel needed.
● Coordinate any visiting team equipment request either for training or match day.
● Liaise with the visiting team for locker room set-up load in and load out.
● Problem solves any equipment issues that may arise during the match.

Away Games -
● Prepare and pack all team apparel and equipment for away games.
● Ensure player and staff locker rooms are set up, making sure everyone has all necessary apparel needed.
● Coordinate with the home team for any equipment request either for training or match day.
● Liaise with the home team for locker room set-up load in and load out.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
● Degree from an accredited four-year College or University, preferred.
● Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role required, soccer or professional sports experience, preferred, but not required.
● Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
● Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, start-up environment while managing multiple tasks at once.
● Effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and solutions-orientated
● Available to work weekends, game days, and other times (often outside of traditional business hours)
● Ability to travel with the first team for away games required.
● Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
