Position Summary
The Corporate Partnership Sales Account Executive will be responsible for generating new corporate partnership revenue for Tampa Bay Sun FC. This role will focus on prospecting, outreach, proposal development, relationship building, contract execution, renewals, and upselling existing partners, with an emphasis on securing community-based and regional partnerships that align with the club’s brand, fan base, and business goals. This position will also represent Tampa Bay Sun FC at community events, networking functions, and matchdays to drive new business opportunities and strengthen relationships throughout the Tampa Bay market.

Position Responsibilities
  • Grow partnership revenue by prospecting, developing, closing, renewing, and upselling corporate partnerships for Tampa Bay Sun FC and related club initiatives, with a strong focus on both new business and existing partner growth. 
  • Identify new revenue opportunities across sponsorship and ticketing through both existing and newly created inventory, including digital media, branded content, promotions, in-market activations, hospitality, signage, community programming, and custom partnership assets. 
  • Manage the renewal process for existing partners by building strong relationships, demonstrating partnership value, and identifying opportunities for long-term retention. 
  • Upsell current clients by introducing new assets, expanded activation opportunities, hospitality options, and integrated marketing solutions that align with their goals. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Tampa Bay marketplace, including key industries, competitive landscape, and local business trends. 
  • Prospect diligently by researching prospective companies, identifying decision-makers, and uncovering qualified opportunities. 
  • Build relationships and sell consultatively through a needs-analysis approach to drive business decisions with small, medium, and emerging businesses throughout the region. 
  • Create customized partnership solutions that align client goals with Tampa Bay Sun FC assets and deliver measurable value. 
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and outreach through proposal development, negotiation, contract execution, renewal strategy, and transition to activation. 
  • Entertain, engage, and nurture relationships with prospective and existing partners to drive long-term business growth. 
  • Prepare and maintain strategic sales plans, pipeline updates, forecasts, and other reports as directed by leadership. 
  • Utilize CRM platforms, sales tools, and AI-driven lead generation resources to maximize outreach effectiveness and pipeline development. 
  • Meet and exceed annual revenue goals, renewal targets, and new partnership sales objectives. 
  • Maintain strong sales process discipline, organization, and follow-through throughout the entire partnership sales cycle. 
  • Represent Tampa Bay Sun FC in a professional manner at matches, community appearances, networking events, and club functions. 
  • Build genuine relationships that create long-term value for both the club and its partners. 
  • Support other duties and special projects as assigned. 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Desire to work in a highly competitive sales environment with a focus on prospecting, outreach, relationship development, and closing new business. 
  • High-energy, creative, driven, and self-motivated personality with strong personal and professional integrity. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to build trust and develop relationships with business leaders and decision-makers. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a process-oriented mindset. 
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating across departments. 
  • Understanding of professional sports and the game of soccer is preferred. 
  • Prior experience in sponsorship sales, ticket sales, sports sales, or business development is preferred. 
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales prospecting tools is preferred. 

Schedule and Benefit Highlights
This is a full-time, exempt position that typically works Monday through Friday, with the expectation of supporting home matches, community events, networking functions, and other club-related events as needed.

This position will be based in the Tampa Bay, Florida market.
