Marketing: Sales & Marketing Management
The Tampa Bay Rowdies are looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing with a proven track record of generating revenue through effective sales and brand initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the sales and marketing strategy, generating revenue and mentor, develop and manage a growing sales and marketing team.
Responsibilities 
  • Provide overall leadership for new season ticket sales, season ticket retention, group sales and service initiatives to obtain overall revenue and attendance goals 
  • Strategize, maintain, and execute a year-round sales and service approach to meet and exceed goals 
  • Create and implement regular sales, service and training initiatives to increase productivity, incentivize, motivate and elevate overall team performance 
  • Deliver ongoing training, coaching and mentoring for ticket sales staff 
  • Recruit, hire, assist, train, manage and mentor team members on strategy, call scripts, client presentations and more 
  • Participate in planning meetings to discuss organizational revenue opportunities and collaborate with other stakeholders to support and further the department goals 
  • Create quantitative & qualitative weekly and quarterly reports to highlight wins, losses, key learnings 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategy and programs that drive ticket sales, generate revenue, and strengthen brand position 
  • Manage brand consistency and positioning across all mediums including Radio, Outdoor, Print, Digital, Social and In-Stadium 
  • Maintain and distribute marketing calendar for full organization 
  • Collaborate with Communications team to drive earned media 
  • Analyze marketing efforts and adjust efforts based on learnings, trends and activity 
  • Oversee grassroots and live event executions with a strong focus on creating new fans 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
Qualifications 
  •  BA/BS in related field or three to five years of related experience 
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a sales and marketing manager in the sports industry 
  • Results oriented leader with proven ability to motivate people and maximize revenue production 
  • Proven leadership experience in a sales environment including coaching, mentoring, hiring, training, and performance management 
  • Advanced knowledge of sports marketing 
  • Proactive planner with a sense of urgency, creativity, style and attention to detail 
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
  • Outstanding communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
