We are a professional sports organization focused on delivering a strong matchday experience, efficient internal operations, and reliable support for our athletes, staff, and partners. We are hiring a Head of Operations to oversee all day-to-day operational functions for the club.
Position Summary
The Head of Operations is responsible for managing the operational areas that support team performance and gameday execution. This includes facility operations, team logistics, scheduling, vendor coordination, equipment oversight, and matchday management.
The ideal candidate has experience in sports operations, is detail-oriented, and can manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Facility Operations:
- Oversee daily facility operations, including practice fields, locker rooms, storage, and equipment areas.
- Coordinate team logistics such as travel, lodging, transportation, and schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility partners and venue staff.
Matchday Operations:
- Lead all matchday planning and execution, including timelines, field setup, credentials, parking, security coordination, and post-match breakdown.
- Work closely with marketing, partnerships, and ticketing to ensure smooth matchday flow.
- Manage communication with stadium vendors and event personnel.
Logistics, Scheduling & Compliance:
- Build and maintain the master operations schedule for practices, matches, community events, and travel.
- Ensure compliance with league standards and regulations.
- Track inventory for team equipment, apparel, and operational supplies.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors including transportation, apparel, printing, stadium services, medical support, and production crews.
- Support partner activation needs related to on-field or matchday operations.
Process & Staff Management:
- Develop operational workflows, checklists, and policies.
- Support and supervise operations assistants, coordinators, or interns.
- Assist with hiring, planning, and managing seasonal or event staff.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of operations experience in sports, events, or related fields.
- Experience managing logistics, scheduling, and event execution.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends as required for matches or events.
- Effective communication and ability to work across departments.
- Experience working with stadiums, venues, or large event operations is preferred.
