Position Description 
As the social media manager, you will be the voice behind Sporting Cascades FC’s social media channels, engaging our fanbase and deepening connections with both loyal and new fans. You’ll bring stories to life by identifying, creating, and sharing engaging content across various platforms, with a focus on growing and strengthening SCFC’s fan community.

This role is responsible for producing dynamic, social-first content that fuels fan growth and drives engagement. With a focus on creativity and innovation, this individual will transform everything from high-profile moments to behind-the-scenes, everyday footage into compelling content that resonates with both diehard fans and new audiences alike. 

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conceive, design, and execute innovative social content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, YouTube), adapting to evolving trends and platform standards.
  • Monitor sentiment and engage fans directly across platforms in real time, using discretion to represent the club’s voice.
  • Provide real-time coverage across social and web of SCFC events, community initiatives, and other team events, with the goal to produce compelling content that catches fans’ attention.
  • Collaborate with the team to bring a unique, passionate voice to all digital content, demonstrating enthusiasm for the sport and the club.
  • Drive revenue and meet partnership obligations via social media platforms (ticket sales, merchandise sales and sponsorship).
  • Stay on the pulse of social trends to keep the club’s presence fresh, relevant and buzzworthy.
  • Use insights and analytics to shape strategies, measure impact and refine execution.
 
Qualifications   
  • 2+ years experience managing social media for sports or entertainment brands, with a portfolio demonstrating originality and creative impact.
  • Passionate about soccer with knowledge of the sport and culture for authentic fan engagement.
  • Deep understanding of social media trends, platform-specific nuances, and digital storytelling, with proven success in leveraging social media to drive fan growth, engagement, and community.
  • Must be familiar with social reporting tools—specifically, the ability to pull reports, analyze data, and leverage the information to drive subsequent campaigns.
  • Proficiency in mobile-first video editing tools and a strong grasp of platform-specific best practices.
  • Must be able to work home matchdays (18-20 days per year, often nights and weekends).
