Position Description
Are you passionate about soccer, design, and Oregon—and are excited by the idea of building something from the ground up? As the director of graphic design for Sporting Cascades FC, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on team brand, sales needs and emerging trends. The challenges are exciting and the possibilities endless as you produce dynamic concepts for all design needs, including kits, that resonate with athletes and fans alike.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and deliver a wide range of brand and marketing materials—digital and print—including social media graphics, posters, merchandise, email and web assets, stadium signage, matchday creative, and more.
- Lead and/or support merchandise design initiatives, collaborating with partners and vendors to bring high-quality fan gear to life.
- Ensure all designs adhere to SCFC brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across all materials.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure designs are modern and relevant.
- Develop and maintain design templates, file structures, and digital asset organization systems.
- Manage incoming creative requests from stakeholders and collaborate to refine briefs.
- Produce matchday assets and live event graphics as needed, including on-site support during home games.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in creating work of outstanding design standards.
- Digitally savvy with experience in social and digital marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated excellent design skills – both conceptual and executional.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with digital content specs across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, email, etc).
- Must be able to work home matchdays (18-20 days per year, often nights and weekends).
