Overview of Sarasota Paradise
Sarasota Paradise is a premier destination offering an unforgettable experience to locals and visitors in the Sarasota area. We strive to create joy and memories for all of our guests through community soccer. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Ticket Sales Intern to join our team and assist with ticket sales, customer service, and community engagement. This role would work directly with the Head of Ticketing and would be a great introduction to the sports industry.
Internship Purpose
As a Ticket Sales & Service Intern at Sarasota Paradise, you will be an essential part of our team. The purpose of this role is to drive ticket sales and support community engagement. You will assist with ticket sales, community engagement, events, customer retention, and fan experiences that have a direct impact on ticketing revenue. Interns will gain hands-on experience in driving ticket sales revenue and applicable skills to advance their professional careers. This is an unpaid internship.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing ticket sales via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Help customers with ticket inquiries, event information, and troubleshooting any issues
- Support the distribution of promotional materials related to ticket sales
- Be present at community events - engaging with fans
- Keep detailed notes in our CRM
- Work alongside the Ticketing Department in the management of internal inventory tracking
- Assist in targeted group sales
- Assist in fan experiences and hospitality areas
- Weekly strategy calls with the Ticketing Department
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Participants must be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and/or training and must certify that they are able to receive college credit from an accredited college or university for their participation.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal communication skills are required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic are a must. Must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn.
- Should be extremely organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Ability to work under deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of sports/soccer is preferred, but not required.
- Previous customer service or sales experience is a plus, but not required.
