SALEM CITY FC – ACADEMY COACHING OPPORTUNITIES (FULL-TIME & PART-TIME)
Salem City FC is continuing to build a high-performance academy environment as we work toward a full-time model and long-term professional pathway. We are currently seeking driven, high-level coaches to join our academy staff in both full-time and part-time roles.

About Salem City FC Academy (USL A)
Our academy is built on a clear philosophy: developing complete footballers through a structured, high-level training environment. Our methodology is influenced by European practices, with a strong emphasis on technical execution, decision making, and the 4 Corner Model.
Players train three times per week, with each session lasting 90 minutes, ensuring consistent contact time and meaningful development opportunities.
Role Overview
Academy coaches will be responsible for delivering high-quality sessions, managing teams, and driving individual player development within a structured framework.
A key component of this role is the implementation and ongoing management of Individual Development Plans (IDPs), which are mandatory across the academy and central to our player development model.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured, high-quality training sessions (3x per week, 90 minutes per session)
- Implement and manage Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all players
- Develop players across the 4 Corner Model (technical, tactical, physical, psychological)
- Create a professional, player-first training environment
- Provide consistent, actionable feedback to players and families
- Manage matchdays, including team selection and in-game coaching
- Collaborate with academy staff to ensure alignment in methodology and standards
- Uphold and model the club’s professional expectations at all times
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Coaching qualifications (USSF, UEFA, or equivalent preferred)
- Experience within a structured academy or competitive youth environment
- Strong understanding of long-term player development
- Ability to design and deliver IDPs effectively
- High-level communication skills with both players and parents
- Detail-oriented, professional, and aligned with a development-first mindset
