Position Summary
The Youth Programming Coordinator supports the design, delivery, and growth of Sacramento Republic FC’s various youth programs. Serving as a key connector between the Manager of Youth Programming and the coaching staff, this role ensures that all youth soccer programs are executed with professionalism, consistency, and alignment to the club’s mission. The coordinator directly oversees youth coaches, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure a positive and development-focused environment for players and families.

Key Responsibilities

Program Oversight
  • Support the day-to-day management of all youth programming initiatives, including camps, clinics, match-day programming, and partner club engagements.
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and logistics to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Serve as the on-site lead for youth programming events, acting as the primary contact for coaches, players, and parents.

Coach Supervision & Development
  • Oversee and support a team of youth coaches, providing mentorship and regular feedback.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of coaching sessions to ensure alignment with club curriculum and standards.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and continuing education opportunities for coaching staff.

Player & Family Experience
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants and families.
  • Address parent and player inquiries in a professional, timely manner.
  • Support community-building efforts through strong customer service and consistent program communication.

Administrative & Operational Support
  • Assist the Manager of Youth Programming in tracking registrations, attendance, and program performance.
  • Collect feedback from coaches, players, and families to inform program improvements.
  • Help ensure compliance with safety protocols, risk management, and child safeguarding policies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Education, Recreation, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience working in youth sports, coaching, or program coordination.
  • Knowledge of soccer and coaching principles. 
  • US Soccer D License, and/or United Soccer Coaches National Diploma or higher.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage part-time/seasonal staff.
  • Experience working with youth (Ages 4-18)
  • Ability to create a fun and safe environment for youth participants. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure with the aptitude to adjust to changes. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; and calendaring software. 
  • Understanding of player development principles and grassroots coaching methodologies.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours as required by programming.

Position Information: 
  • Compensation Range  $20.00/hr (Commensurate of experience and background)
  • Part-Time (up to 30 hours a week) - schedule will vary , must be flexible 
  • Paid Membership for United Soccer Coaches
