ABOUT SACRAMENTO REPUBLIC FC:
Sacramento Republic FC is one of the most dynamic and community-driven clubs in American soccer and is entering the most transformational era in its history with the development of a new stadium in the heart of California’s capital city. This project will redefine sports, entertainment, and culture in Sacramento for decades to come. As the Club prepares for this next chapter, the Marketing Department plays a critical role in growing the Club’s audience, strengthening fan engagement, and telling the story of Sacramento through soccer.

The Social Media Coordinator will help bring the Club to life across digital platforms through creative content, community engagement, and day-to-day social execution.

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR: OVERVIEW
The Social Media Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of Sacramento Republic FC’s social media presence across all platforms. This role will assist in content creation, publishing, fan engagement, and real-time coverage of matches, events, and community initiatives.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, digitally savvy, and deeply passionate about sports, culture, storytelling, and social trends. This role works closely with the Marketing, Creative, Communications, Partnerships and Community teams to help grow the Club’s reach, relevance, and voice

RESPONSIBILITIES
●     Assist in managing and publishing content across all Club social media platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
●     Support real-time social coverage during matches, training sessions, community events, and Club activations.
●     Capture and create social-first content including photos, videos, reels, stories, graphics, and short-form edits.
●     Help maintain the Club’s content calendar and publishing schedule.
●     Monitor social trends, cultural moments, and platform updates to help keep content fresh and relevant.
●     Engage with fans and community members across platforms in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
●     Assist in tracking and reporting social media analytics and performance metrics.
●     Support marketing campaigns, ticketing initiatives, partnerships, merchandise launches, and community storytelling efforts.
●     Collaborate closely with the Creative team to align visuals, messaging, and campaign execution.
●     Help maintain consistency in the Club’s tone, voice, and brand across all digital channels.
●     Assist with influencer, creator, and community collaborations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience
●     Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
●     1–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, sports, entertainment, or related fields.
●     Internship, freelance, collegiate athletics, or creator experience encouraged.

Skills & Capabilities
●     Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
●     Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and other social platforms.
●     Basic photography, video capture, and editing skills.
●     Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content tools.
●     Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
●     Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
●     Passion for sports, soccer, storytelling, and community engagement.

WORKING CONDITIONS
●     Position based in Sacramento, in office five days per week.
●     Frequent evening, weekend, matchday, and event-related work required.
●     Ability to work in live event environments, including outdoor conditions.
