Director, Ticket Sales – Overview:
Sacramento Republic FC is seeking a driven and experienced Director of Ticket Sales to lead the club’s ticket sales efforts and oversee the day-to-day management of the sales team. This individual will be responsible for generating revenue across full season memberships, partial plans, flex plans, and group ticket sales, while building and maintaining a high-performance sales culture.

Director, Ticket Sales – Overview:
Sacramento Republic FC is seeking a driven and experienced Director of Ticket Sales to lead the club’s ticket sales efforts and oversee the day-to-day management of the sales team. This individual will be responsible for generating revenue across full season memberships, partial plans, flex plans, and group ticket sales, while building and maintaining a high-performance sales culture.
The Director of Ticket Sales will play a key leadership role in coaching, developing, and motivating sales representatives, while implementing strategic sales initiatives designed to exceed revenue goals and drive overall business growth. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and relationship builder with a proven track record of success in the sports industry, extensive experience in ticket sales, and a passion for developing talent and creating a competitive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
● Lead the club’s day-to-day ticket sales strategy and execution with a focus on driving revenue growth across memberships, premium hospitality, and group sales at Heart Health Park.
● Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop a high performing ticket sales team focused on achieving and exceeding individual and department revenue goals.
● Conduct regular 1 on 1 meetings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations to provide feedback, monitor KPIs, and support employee development.
● Create and foster a positive, competitive, and accountable sales culture that aligns with the values and mission of Sacramento Republic FC.
● Develop and execute outbound sales strategies focused on driving new business revenue and expanding the club’s fan base.
● Motivate and inspire team members through goal setting, sales contests, recognition programs, and individualized coaching and support.
● Monitor daily sales activity and pipeline management to ensure consistent prospecting efforts, follow up, and achievement of outreach standards and sales expectations.
● Oversee CRM management and ticketing systems to ensure accurate reporting, lead tracking, pipeline management, and equitable lead distribution.
● Analyze sales performance and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to track department progress, identify trends, and maximize revenue opportunities.
● Collaborate with internal departments to support organizational initiatives, matchday experiences, and revenue generating opportunities.
● Assist with the planning and execution of matchday responsibilities, group experiences, hospitality events, and VIP activations to ensure a best-in-class fan experience.
● Lead efficient team meetings while maintaining strong communication, organization, and follow through on department initiatives.
● Represent Sacramento Republic FC at networking and community events to build relationships with current and prospective clients.
● Maintain a professional, high energy work environment that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, innovation, and continuous growth.
● Assist in the development and execution of ticket sales strategies for Sacramento Republic FC’s new stadium in collaboration with the senior leadership.

A. Education and/or Experience
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Minimum of 5 years of ticket sales experience in professional sports or a related industry
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role overseeing a ticket sales staff
● Proven track record of exceeding both individual and team sales goals
● Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and developing sales representatives in a fast-paced sales environment preferred
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
● Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high performing team
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and ticketing systems
● Strong understanding of sales strategy, pipeline management, and sales reporting
● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by match and event schedules
