The Marketing Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the club's marketing efforts, gaining hands-on experience in the fast-paced sports industry. This position is designed for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual looking to contribute to a growing professional soccer organization while developing their marketing skills. The intern will assist in various marketing initiatives, helping to connect with fans, promote the club, and enhance the Rodeo SC brand.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of engaging content for the club’s social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok).
  • Support the development and execution of email marketing campaigns, including content creation and audience segmentation.
  • Help update and maintain content on the club’s official website and other digital channels.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, fan preferences, and competitive insights.
  • Assist with promotional activities for home matches, community events, and special initiatives.
  • Support the marketing team in preparing presentations, reports, and other marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Ticketing and Corporate Partnerships, on integrated campaigns.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the marketing department as needed.

Game Day Responsibilities:
  • Assist with on-site fan engagement activities and promotional giveaways.
  • Help capture photos and videos for social media content during matches and events.
  • Support the activation of sponsor elements and promotional zones.
  • Provide general assistance to the marketing team to ensure smooth game day operations.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Strong passion for sports, particularly soccer, and a desire to work in the professional sports industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and an understanding of digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, and game days, as required by the sports schedule.
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
