Overview of Rodeo SC
Rodeo SC is a dynamic professional soccer club dedicated to fostering community spirit and passion for the beautiful game. As an expansion franchise, we are committed to building a strong foundation both on and off the field, with a vision to unite our region through sport and empower future generations. We strive for excellence in all aspects, from fan engagement to community impact.
The Community Engagement Coordinator will be instrumental in connecting Rodeo SC with the local community, fostering positive relationships, and executing impactful outreach programs. This role supports the club's mission to unite our region through sport and empower future generations by coordinating events, managing appearances, and assisting with various community initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute community outreach programs, events, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the club's mission and values.
- Manage scheduling and logistics for player, coach, and mascot appearances at community events, schools, and charitable functions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of community-focused campaigns and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community organizations, schools, and non-profits.
- Support the planning and execution of club-led charity events and fundraising activities.
- Create engaging content (e.g., social media posts, event recaps, newsletters) to promote community initiatives.
- Track and report on the effectiveness and reach of community engagement efforts, including participant numbers and impact.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to community relations, including managing databases, correspondence, and inventory of promotional materials.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales) to integrate community initiatives into broader club strategies.
Game Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute community-focused activations and promotions during home games.
- Coordinate player/mascot interactions and fan engagement activities on game days.
- Represent Rodeo SC positively at all game day community touchpoints, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of community activation areas and event logistics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in community relations, event coordination, non-profit outreach, or a related field, preferably within the sports industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with community members, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
- A passion for soccer and a genuine commitment to community engagement.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
