The Richmond Kickers and Richmond Ivy Soccer Clubs are actively seeking an enthusiastic Operations Intern. This is a position for applicants seeking college credit during the Summer of 2026 and this role will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and the Richmond Ivy Sporting Director.
The internship start date is May 26, 2026, and the end date is August 4, 2026 (10 weeks).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of Ivy team travel, including organizing hotels, team meals and training facilities as required.
- Assist with the logistical requirements for Ivy Technical staff and Players.
- Help in day-to-day operations at City Stadium such as facility maintenance/cleanliness, game-day logistics, and event operations.
- Serve as a liaison when hosting teams in the Richmond market.
- Day-to-day management and preparation of all equipment needs for Richmond Ivy players and staff.
- Aid Technical Staff in preparation for training, matches, and team events.
- Coordinates with technical, medical, and administrative staff to ensure that all travel logistics are organized related to equipment.
- Manages the equipment set-up and operation of Ivy League games, both home and away.
- Manage compliance of League protocols of all USL W League matches.
- Assist Technical Staff with day-to-day training session setup.
- Represent the Club at the highest standard.
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsPrevious experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities preferred, but not required
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and knowledge of current technologies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to attend all Richmond Kickers and all Richmond Ivy home games during the internship timeframe.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift. Ability to participate in sustained activities for extended periods of time.
- Must have access to transportation and a valid driver’s license.
