The Richmond Kickers and Richmond Ivy Soccer Clubs are actively seeking an enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Intern. This is a position for applicants seeking college credit during the Summer of 2026 and this role will report directly to the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.
The internship start date is May 26, 2026, and the end date is August 4, 2026 (10 weeks).
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and execution of all aspects of partnership fulfillment.
- Sales Process Management: Follow a structured sales process, including presenting proposals, handling objections, and closing deals.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and progress in the sales pipeline.
- Prospect Identification: Research and identify potential business partners and sponsors that align with our organization’s mission and audience.
- Data Analytics and Aggregation: Analyze sponsorship data to identify areas for growth and development. Aggregate data for all social media-sponsored content and ticket purchase information.
- Provide exemplary customer service throughout the entire sales process and to all partners each matchday at City Stadium.
- Assist in creating recaps for all corporate partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or pursuing a degree in a related field.
- An excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator with an outstanding work ethic, time management, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google applications. Tableau and Meta experience is a plus.
- Prior sports and entertainment industry experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to attend all Richmond Kickers and all Richmond Ivy home games during the internship timeframe.
