Note: This is a part-time, seasonal role. Hours per week can fluctuate depending on candidate situation and company need, but are expected to average 15-25 hours per week, with length of employment flexible (e.g. could be dependent on a candidate's academic schedule, if applicable).
The Marketing Content Specialist supports the club’s day-to-day digital marketing efforts, with a focus on matchday execution, content capture, and platform management. This role works closely with the marketing team to help bring the Hearts of Pine brand to life across social channels while maintaining strong organization behind the scenes. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in social media management, a deep understanding of soccer, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Hourly rate: $18 per hour
Core Responsibilities
Matchday:
● Capture mobile-first content on matchdays, both on the field and in the stands
● Monitor and support community communications across social platforms (Instagram DMs, Facebook messages, Twitter/X/Threads mentions) in real time
● Assist with live posting during away matches as needed
● Organize and tag all photo and video assets in Scoreplay following matches
Content & Digital:
● Capture mobile content during team trainings and other club events as needed
● Lead execution of the club’s TikTok content, including ideation, filming, editing, publishing, and cross-channel posting to other applicable platforms (Instagram, X, Threads, Facebook) with guidance and support from marketing team staff
● Support ongoing monitoring and engagement across community channels outside of matchdays
● Maintain and improve organization within the club’s asset management system (Scoreplay)
Additional Support:
● Assist with broader content and marketing initiatives as needed
● Support the marketing and communications team on additional projects as assigned

Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in soccer or team sports at the college or professional level.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with experience multitasking in high-pressure environments.
- Work nights/weekends as necessary, especially on the dates of the club’s home games.
- Must have reliable transportation to/from Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland, Maine.
- A passion for soccer and Hearts of Pine
