Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Academy Soccer Coach to join our team. As a coach, you will be responsible for developing young soccer players, fostering their skills, and nurturing their love for the game. The ideal candidate should have experience playing soccer at a competitive level and coaching experience, along with a genuine enthusiasm for working with youth athletes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Player Development: Design and implement age-appropriate training sessions to enhance players' technical skills, tactical understanding, physical fitness, and mental resilience.
  2. Individualized Coaching: Provide personalized feedback and guidance to each player to support their individual development goals and address areas for improvement.
  3. Team Management: Lead and manage academy teams during training sessions, matches, tournaments, and other soccer-related activities.
  4. Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with players, parents, and other coaching staff regarding training schedules, team expectations, and player progress.
  5. Role Model: Serve as a positive role model for young athletes, promoting good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect on and off the field.
  6. Player Evaluation: Conduct regular player assessments and evaluations to track progress, identify strengths and weaknesses, and inform training plans.
  7. Continual Learning: Stay updated on the latest coaching methodologies, trends, and best practices in soccer development to continually improve coaching techniques and program effectiveness.
  8. Safety and Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of all players by adhering to relevant health and safety guidelines and protocols.
  9. Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties as needed, including player registrations, equipment inventory management, and scheduling.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience playing soccer at a competitive level.
  • Coaching experience, preferably working with youth athletes.
  • Coaching certifications/licenses (e.g., USSF, NSCAA, UEFA) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of soccer techniques, tactics, and principles of play.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate training sessions, matches, and events.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

Additional Information:
  • This position requires evening and weekend availability.
  • Salary/compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
