Orange County SC Overview
Orange County Soccer Club is Orange County’s only professional soccer team playing in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship, the fastest growing Division II professional soccer league in the world. The USL Championship is comprised of 30 teams across the United States. The team plays its home games at the Orange County Great Park’s Championship Soccer Stadium, located in Irvine, CA. Nestled in the heart of the Great Park, Championship Soccer Stadium has a capacity of over 5,000 for Orange County SC matches. The schedule consists of 17 regular season home games, plus a handful of additional events. Orange County SC was one of 12 founding members of the USL during its inaugural 2011 season when it played as the LA Blues before moving to Orange County in 2013. In 2021, Orange County SC brought home the USL Championship Cup as the league’s best team beating the Tampa Rowdies, 3-1 in the playoff final to capture the USL Championship title.

Position Overview
This full-time position within the OCSC Marketing Department supports the club’s digital marketing efforts across paid media, email, SMS, and fan engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will help drive ticket sales, audience growth, and brand awareness through creative and data-informed marketing campaigns across multiple digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, collaborative, eager to grow in digital marketing, and interested in emerging technologies and fan engagement strategies within sports and entertainment.

This is a hybrid position based in Orange County, CA and requires regular in-office attendance. This is not a fully remote role, and candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office.|

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns that support ticket sales, fan engagement, and brand awareness initiatives.
  • Help manage campaigns across paid social, search, display, video, email, and SMS marketing channels.
  • Support campaign setup, monitoring, reporting, and optimization across digital advertising platforms.
  • Build and schedule email and SMS marketing campaigns, including basic audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance reporting.
  • Assist with AI-powered marketing and automation tools to improve campaign workflows, personalization, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the creative team (video, motion, and design) to support the development of marketing assets.
  • Help grow and maintain the OCSC fan database through lead generation and retention campaigns.
  • Maintain marketing calendars across digital advertising, email, and SMS campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance and share insights with the Marketing and Ticket Sales teams.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, social platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop an understanding of the sports and entertainment industry and fan engagement best practices.

Qualifications:
  • 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, email marketing systems, and SMS marketing tools.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing analytics and performance metrics.
  • Experience working with CRM systems or audience segmentation tools is a plus.
  • Interest in AI tools and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.
  • Passion for soccer, sports, live events, or fan engagement is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred.

Compensation:
This position offers a base salary range of $50,000 annually, with opportunities for additional overtime compensation during the season, home matches, special events, etc.
