Compensation: Part-time - $18 per hour.

Position Summary
The Team Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations and matchday logistics for Oakland Roots, Oakland Soul, and Project 510. Working closely with technical staff, players, and the front office, this position ensures that training sessions, equipment management, travel, and matchday environments are executed to professional standards. The coordinator provides hands-on support across all three teams, helping create a seamless player and staff experience while reinforcing the club’s mission to unite community and sport.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations:
  • Support technical staff with daily training needs, including field setup, equipment readiness, and player services.
  • Assist with facility management by ensuring training grounds, locker rooms, and shared spaces are clean, organized, and prepared for use.
  • Provide team support across equipment, administrative, and medical areas, coordinating with staff to meet immediate needs.
  • Help maintain smooth communication between coaching staff, players, and operations to ensure schedules and responsibilities are clear.
  • Contribute to a professional environment that reflects the club’s standards and supports player performance.
Meal & Equipment Coordination:
  • Coordinate meal pickups and post-training meal setup for players and technical staff.
  • Assist Equipment Manager with locker room setup, equipment preparation, and inventory management.
  • Assist with daily training setup and breakdown, including field equipment, balls, cones, bibs, and goals.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of all team equipment (training gear, uniforms, match balls, boots, recovery equipment, etc.).
  • Support the laundry process for team training and match gear to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
  • Assist with kit preparation for training sessions and matchdays (jerseys, shorts, socks, warm-ups, goalkeeper gear, etc.).
  • Coordinate and transport equipment as needed for home and away matches.
  • Ensure locker room, bench areas, and technical zones are prepared before matches.
  • Communicate with coaching staff, players, and front office to meet equipment needs in a timely manner.
  • Support special events, clinics, and Roots Recognize Initiative needs when required.
Matchday Operations:
  • Provide matchday support for Oakland Roots, Oakland Soul, and Project 510, ensuring locker rooms, technical areas, and team logistics are prepared and executed to professional standards.
  • Coordinate with coaching staff and operations team to meet real-time needs across all three teams.
  • Assist with post-match duties, including cleanup, media coordination, and autograph sessions.
Administrative Support:
  • Maintain records and assist with communications between operations, partnerships, and technical staff.
  • Perform additional projects and assignments as directed by Soccer Operations staff.
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and travel.
  • Prior experience in team operations, sports management, or event coordination preferred.
