The New York Cosmos are a professional soccer organization dedicated to building world-class teams and a vibrant community-driven club culture. As part of our continued growth, we are preparing to launch our men’s team in USL League One (2026) and a women’s team in 2028. Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Part-Time Ticket Sales Associate to join our growing sales team. This role focuses on driving ticket revenue and fan engagement for Cosmos home matches through group ticket sales, season tickets, partial plans, and small business partnerships. The ideal candidate has a passion for sports, enjoys connecting with people, and is eager to develop a career in sales and customer relations within the sports industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new ticket sales leads through cold calls, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and small businesses.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with key decision-makers to promote ticket packages and group experiences.
- Assist in planning, promoting, and executing group and theme nights to enhance the fan experience.
- Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales and activity goals.
- Support ticket sales initiatives on game days, including fan engagement and client servicing.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in the organization’s CRM system.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance sales strategies and community outreach programs.
- Represent the Cosmos brand professionally at all events and appearances.
Qualifications
- Bilingual strongly preferred (Spanish, Arabic, or Bengali highly valued; other languages welcome).
- Deep ties to the Paterson and North Jersey community preferred.
- Outgoing, personable, and comfortable engaging with individuals and groups in person and over the phone.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for soccer, sports business, and community engagement.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and game days.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., event setup materials).
- Previous sales or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM or ticketing software is a plus.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a team-first attitude and strong work ethic.
Compensation and Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $20.00
- Hours: 25–29 per week (on site)
- Schedule: Flexible; includes weekends, evenings, and game days
