As part of our continued growth, we are preparing to launch our men’s team in USL League One (2026) and a women’s team in 2028. Position Summary:
The New York Cosmos are seeking qualified candidates to serve as Matchday Event Staff for the 2026 Season at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, NJ. Individuals will have the opportunity to learn various aspects of planning and executing professional soccer matches and stadium events for the club. This position is ideal for current college students and/or recent graduates seeking entry-level, part-time experience in the sports industry.
Please note that this is a part-time, seasonal position that runs through the 2026 New York Cosmos season, including potential postseason matches and special events hosted at Hinchliffe Stadium.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Please note: This position supports multiple matchday functions. Staff members may be assigned to specific roles and may not perform every responsibility listed below at each match.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of New York Cosmos matchday operations at Hinchliffe Stadium, including field boards, branding elements, signage, and sponsor activations.
• Work with the Matchday Producer and Game Presentation team to ensure all in-game entertainment, ceremonies, and promotional elements are executed successfully on matchday.
• Support the Field Manager with coordination of pre-match, halftime, and post-match field activities.
• Serve as a Visiting Team Liaison, assisting with locker room preparation and ensuring all league standards and matchday protocols are met.
• Assist as a Referee Liaison to ensure match officials have the necessary support and that all field and competition regulations are followed.
• Coordinate and execute in-game promotions, sponsor activations, and fan engagement activities throughout the stadium.
• Assist Ticketing, Marketing, and Community Relations teams with on-field fan experiences such as youth mascots, halftime contests, and ceremonial moments.
• Support coordination of hospitality, catering, and operational needs for teams, officials, and matchday staff.
• Assist with ticket scanning and fan entry operations, as well as support in the team merchandise shop when needed.
• Provide general operational support to the Matchday & Event Operations team and Hinchliffe Stadium staff as assigned.
Compensation and Schedule
• Hourly Rate: $20.00
