General Summary of Position:

The NEFC Metro North Junior Director is responsible for making sure the entire U6-U9 program meets and exceeds NEFC’s goals. Our Juniors program teaches kids ages 4 to 9. This position will be based out of the Waltham, Belmont & Malden, MA areas.
The Junior Director will oversee and manage the administration and operations for the Metro North Junior programs, including, but not limited to, establishing, implementing, evaluating, and leading the program for new and existing members.

This individual should be forward-thinking and proactive, creatively seeking new ways to offer services and improve the program to benefit NEFC members, staff, and coaches. They must also be highly detail-oriented, efficient, flexible, and growth-oriented.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Communications/Customer Service
Implement, maintain, and exemplify a standard of superior customer service across all interactions with staff, members, and guests. Respond to all emails and voice messages within 24 hours. Create a communication calendar for all ongoing communication to keep members informed, including but not limited to program overview, coach and player placement, and key transition information.

Administration
Strong understanding of multiple software, including Google Suite and GotSport. Creating and sending program updates and emails. Attend all staff meetings and any meetings about the U6-U9 age groups.

Operations
Organize and lead training, weekly communication, as well as overseeing all in-season and offseason components of the program. Identify upcoming players from the U8 program to coordinate team formation with coaches and player placement into the U9 Team programs.

Additional Qualifications
Strong understanding of soccer. (USSF Qualifications preferably). Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent people skills in a diverse environment. Ability to motivate others around you and work as part of a team. Ability to lead a passionate and energetic team. Available weekends and nights as needed. Be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
