Description: USL W League Madison is looking for a transformational leader with high character to oversee all aspects of the new pre-professional women’s team coming to Breese Stevens Field. This position will be responsible for the on-field product including player recruitment, match preparation and management, the development of the women’s youth program and integration with FMFC’s affiliates and community relations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Procure talent and recruit the USL W League team roster.
- Manage technical budget including staff payroll, player expenses, travel, training and equipment.
- Lead all aspects of the on-field product including training sessions, video sessions, and match management.
- Oversee health and wellness program for rostered players.
- Coordinate relationships with team affiliates or partner clubs.
- Oversee women’s youth program for Forward Madison FC.
- Serve as the public face of the Club handling media requests and community appearances.
- Play an active role in the Madison community and lead the technical staff in roster in community engagement, charitable efforts and soccer development.
- Communicate regularly with front office staff.
- Manage a full-time staff of two assistant coaches, interns and sports medicine and sports performance staff.
- Serve as a leader and role model to players and front office staff, in keeping with the team’s mission and core values.
- Abide by all terms for the Forward Madison FC staff handbook.
- Abide by all requirements of USL W-League safeguarding and sporting protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and Ownership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- USSF C Coaching License or UEFA Equivalent
- Prior head coaching experience at the college or professional level
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Four-year college degree
- Currently authorized to work in the United States
- Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles
- Willingness to work weekends, nights and holidays during the season
