Forward Madison FC and USL W League Madison are looking for an industry-leading marketer to lead the organization's marketing structure, strategy, and execution, with a focus on driving revenue from season, group, and single-game tickets, supporting corporate partnership revenue, and brand building. This role will be at the forefront of pushing brand expectations and creating lifelong memories for fans through the leadership of marketing functions.
General Club Marketing Responsibilities
- Lead the organization's marketing structure with a focus on driving revenue from season, group, and single game tickets, supporting corporate partnership revenue, and brand building for both Forward Madison and USL W Madison
- Work with the Director of Communications to develop social media strategy and lead execution of campaigns and content to grow followers, drive fan engagement, and increase customer conversion
- Lead annual marketing plan, including but not limited to paid advertising, email marketing, paid social media, and news coverage
- Assist with Forward Madison FC and USL W League Madison’s social and community impact
Club Revenue Support Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Ticket Sales department to design, plan, and execute ticket-focused marketing, including but not limited to season tickets, mini plans, and group offerings
- Work with General Manager and ticket team to plan and execute all theme nights with emphasis on concepts that drive ticket sales and add to the excitement of match day
- Support Corporate Partnerships department in ideation and execution of sponsorable opportunities designed to drive sponsorship revenue and enhance fan engagement
Match Day and Fan Experience Responsibilities
- Set and execute strategy for all aspects of match day presentation and fan experience, including game direction, videoboard operations, promotions, performers, family zone, and special events with support of other club departments
- Manage street team operations and appearances to build the Forward Madison FC and USL W League Madison brands in the community
- Coordinate all mascot requests and appearances
- Coordinate all player appearances
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience marketing experiential products, preferably in sports
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sport Management or a related field
- Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic marketing plans that deliver measurable growth in line with organizational goals
- Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Ads/Ad Manager, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and SEO/SEM tools
- Skilled in paid media strategy, campaign optimization, and audience segmentation
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable marketing tactics
- Strong cross-functional project management abilities and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and ticketing systems preferred
- Passion for sports, live events, and creating meaningful connections between teams, fans, and the community
