About the Role
Loudoun United FC is seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual to join our matchday team as a Matchday Merchandise Associate. Reporting directly to the Merchandise Manager, this part-time role is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about soccer and retail who takes pride in delivering a premium fan experience. As a frontline representative of the Loudoun United brand, you will play a key role in ensuring supporters enjoy a seamless and welcoming retail experience on every matchday. Additional hours beyond matchdays may be available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Loudoun United FC professionally, greeting and assisting supporters in a courteous and knowledgeable manner
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, processing cash, card, and mobile payment transactions with precision
- Maintain a visually appealing, well-stocked, and organized merchandise area throughout each home fixture
- Support the setup and breakdown of the retail location before gates open and after the final whistle
- Develop a thorough understanding of current merchandise offerings, promotions, and pricing in order to assist supporters effectively
- Address customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly, upholding a high standard of fan satisfaction at all times
- Work collaboratively with the Merchandise Manager to ensure smooth, consistent game day operations
Additional Hours (As Available)
Beyond matchdays, there may be opportunities to take on additional hours supporting the broader merchandise operation, including:
- Receiving and unboxing new merchandise shipments
- Conducting inventory counts and organization
- Jersey pressing and preparation
- Assisting with the club's Shopify online store, including product listings, order fulfillment, and general upkeep
Qualifications
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred, though not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Ability to perform accurately and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Solid numeracy skills and attention to detail when managing transactions
- Reliable, punctual, and available to work evenings and weekends in alignment with the Loudoun United home fixture schedule
- Ability to attend the majority of Loudoun United FC home matches throughout the season
- Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is a plus but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as required
