Position Title: Intern – Media & Communications
Organization: Little Rock Rangers (USL League Two / WPSL)

Position Description
As the Media & Communications Intern for the Little Rock Rangers, you will play an integral role in helping the club communicate its story to fans, media, and the broader community. You will assist in managing press communications, creating written content, and supporting media operations during matches and events. This role is ideal for a motivated college student who is passionate about soccer, media relations, and storytelling. The intern will gain valuable experience working in a professional soccer environment and learn the fundamentals of sports communications, public relations, and content strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
• Identify and pitch compelling storylines related to players, staff, and community initiatives.
• Assist in drafting and editing press releases, media advisories, match previews/recaps, and other official club
communications.
• Maintain and organize media and statistics archives, including quotes, match reports, and press materials.
• Support coordination of media-related events such as press conferences, matchdays, interviews, and
community appearances.
• Help manage existing media relationships while identifying new local and regional media contacts.
• Collaborate with social media, videography, and operations staff to ensure consistent messaging across all
platforms.
• Contribute to matchday operations, including media check-in, press box setup, and post-match interviews.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations,
Marketing, Sport Management, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of AP Style preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with digital media tools.
• Passion for soccer and an understanding of the sport’s culture and media landscape.
• Ability to attend home matchdays (evenings/weekends, 6–8 per season) and occasional team/community
events.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Learning Opportunities

organization.
• Develop professional writing samples for your portfolio, including press releases and media content.
• Learn the fundamentals of managing media operations on matchdays and during community events.
