Position Title: Athletic Training Intern
Organization: Little Rock Rangers (USL League Two / WPSL)
Location: Little Rock, AR
Compensation: Unpaid Internship (College Credit Available)

Position Description
The Little Rock Rangers are seeking motivated and professional graduate students to join our Athletic Training & Sports Medicine Department for an educational internship. This role provides a hands-on learning experience within a competitive soccer environment, supporting both men’s and women’s teams. The intern will work directly under the supervision of certified athletic trainers and performance staff, gaining experience in injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. This is an educational internship for academic credit only.

Primary Responsibilities
• Work alongside the club’s medical and performance staff in the care and management of athletes.
• Assist in daily treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery sessions.
• Support setup and breakdown of training sessions and matchday equipment.
• Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the athletic training area.
• Assist with inventory and maintenance of medical and recovery supplies.
• Observe and assist with return-to-play protocols under supervision.
• Participate in player warm-ups, cooldowns, and recovery activities.
• Collaborate with staff during community events or educational programs related to sports medicine.
• Attend team training sessions, matches, and travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer or Director of Performance.

Qualifications
• Enrolled in a Master of Science in Athletic Training or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of basic injury prevention, taping, and rehabilitation techniques.
• CPR and First Aid certified or ability to obtain onw

Learning Opportunities
• Gain hands-on experience in injury management and sports performance at a pre-professional soccer club.
• Develop practical skills under the supervision of certified athletic trainers and sports medicine
professionals.
• Learn to operate within a multidisciplinary environment involving coaches, athletes, and performance staff.
• Understand the role of sports medicine in daily training and matchday preparation.
