Position Summary

The Director/VP of Marketing is responsible for crafting and executing the club’s marketing strategy across all verticals. Additionally, this position leads the implementation of the club’s visual brand and creative direction.

The Director/VP of Marketing reports directly to the club’s CEO. Final title is adjustable based on experience level.

Primary Responsibilities
 
  • Craft and execute the club’s marketing strategy across all verticals, including paid advertising, direct-to-fan communications, website SEO, theme night ideation and execution, retail, strategic marketing partnerships, event strategy, and more.
  • Lead the club’s visual brand and creative direction through video, photo, and graphic design. Ability to execute creative tasks as needed, including shoots, edits, design projects, and more.
  • Collaborate across all departments – Ticketing, Partnerships, Comms/Content – to deliver a best-in-class fan experience through all touchpoints with the club and drive a focus on revenue growth
  • Foster database growth and increased brand awareness through effective marketing execution in the Las Vegas market.
  • Manage a creative team consisting of full/part-time staff and a freelance network to deliver best-in-class visual assets for social, website, partnerships, etc. and collaborate with the Director of Comms & Content on weekly execution.
  • Create and execute an effective paid advertising strategy, including paid social campaigns, physical billboard ad, print and radio ad spend, and all digital integration.
  • Manage the club’s physical and e-commerce retail presence, including merchandise design and selection and strategic inventory decisions.
  • Directly manage the development and design of the club’s website with assistance from Comms/Marketing staff, including page design, user flow, and SEO growth.
  • Develop and maintain good, professional relationships with colleagues, players, and sporting staff to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the club’s day-to-day operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in marketing, creative, communications, or related field.
  • Proven history of driving revenue growth through effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong portfolio of videography, photography, and graphic design work and proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency in necessary software integrations, including Meta Suite, email marketing software (i.e., Mailchimp), Wordpress.
  • Must be willing to travel, including on occasion internationally.
  • Must be flexible and available to work evenings and/or weekend, nights, and holidays.
 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the soccer, sports, and/or entertainment industry.
  • Bilingual or multilingual.

  • Must be available for all Las Vegas Lights FC home and away matches.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctuality, accountability, and keen attention to detail in each duty.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group while handling several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to react quickly and positively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information carefully and with discretion.
 
Physical Requirements
 
  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.
