Job Description


Lancaster Inferno is seeking a reliable Team & Equipment Manager Intern for their upcoming season which takes place from May-July 2024.

This is a part time seasonal position – Must be available for all home games between May-July. A total of 12-14 games, including regular season and potential playoff games. Most games take place on the weekends, but other games may occur during the week.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Set up the team & referee locker rooms prior to players arriving
    • Uniforms
    • Snacks, Hydration
    • Towels
    • Other items as directed
  • Assist in game-day setup and tear-down
  • Assist in posting directional signage
  • Hang Team and Sponsor Banners
  • Direct Facilities Management to ensure field is set up as required by the league
  • Interface with Refs (ensure they have all info needed)
  • Interface with Trainer (ensure they have everything needed)
  • Ensure teams have access to locker rooms and distribute towels
  • After games, collect uniforms and towels – check them in and make sure they are accounted for. 
  • May also include assisting with laundering uniforms and towels.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.




Qualifications


  • Ability to pass comprehensive background check. Attend and pass SafeSport training.
  • Ability to physically perform functions listed. May require heavy lifting at times.
  • Ability to give and follow instructions.
  • Basic understanding of soccer.
  • Enthusiasm for the team, sports, and women's soccer.
  • Possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license and maintain legally required insurance or have reliable transportation to get to work.
  • Prior team management experience is a plus.

About Lancaster Inferno


Founded in 2008, Lancaster Inferno fields a women's pre-professional soccer team that competes in the USL W League. The First Team roster is composed of players who want to pursue their professional aspirations and features current/post college players and former professionals.

Headquartered in Pod 2 on the Campus of Rock Lititz (Lititz, PA), the Inferno is committed to providing a complete pathway from youth to pre-professional soccer. In addition to the pre-professional team, Inferno fields U20/U23 women’s teams during the summer months, and youth travel teams from the U9-U19 age groups year-round (Lancaster Inferno FC). Lancaster Inferno FC is the only all-girls travel soccer club in Pennsylvania that provides a player pathway from youth to pre-professional.
