Job Description


Lancaster Inferno is seeking a creative and driven Graphic Design Intern. The Intern must have a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to stay true to the organization’s brand identity.

The Graphic Design Intern will primarily be responsible for the creation of graphics for the club under the direction of the Executive Director and COO. They will be working closely with the marketing team to provide visual design projects for the club’s social media platforms, website, and printed materials.

This is a paid internship through PA Career Link (if qualified applicant) or an unpaid position in exchange for college credit. 


Duties and Responsibilities


The following responsibilities will be assigned to the graphic design interns based on their knowledge and experience. The job functions will be conducted in a collaborative environment among the media team to ensure a cohesive strategic plan is in place and all content is on brand.

  • Follow the Social Media Calendar as a guide for content creation.
  • Coordinate with the Social Media team and the marketing staff.
  • Create visually appealing graphics  including but not limited to gameday, game themes, player of the match, post-game scores, and more.
  • Create print graphics including but not limited to print ads, brochures, letterhead, posters, signage, etc.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to highlight promotions and sponsors both on an individual match and season-long basis, including the fulfillment of digital & social deliverables from sponsor contracts for the sponsorship department.
  • Contribute to coverage of all away/road matches during internship (as needed, and in most instances can be done remotely).
  • Assist in conducting interviews with Inferno players and coaches.
  • Assist with in-house social media intern with content generation.
  • Ability to create reels and live content is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while executing multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Driven, enthusiastic and a creative team player motivated to create high-caliber content.
  • Team-focused: Our digital team succeeds by working as a unit, and that means being willing to cover for others on the team when necessary.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Ability to pass comprehensive background check. Attend and pass SafeSport training.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Enthusiasm for the team, sports, and women's soccer
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

About Lancaster Inferno


Founded in 2008, Lancaster Inferno fields a women's pre-professional soccer team that competes in the USL W League. The First Team roster is composed of players who want to pursue their professional aspirations and features current/post college players and former professionals.

Headquartered in Pod 2 on the Campus of Rock Lititz (Lititz, PA), the Inferno is committed to providing a complete pathway from youth to pre-professional soccer. In addition to the pre-professional team, Inferno fields U20/U23 women’s teams during the summer months, and youth travel teams from the U9-U19 age groups year-round (Lancaster Inferno FC). Lancaster Inferno FC is the only all-girls travel soccer club in Pennsylvania that provides a player pathway from youth to pre-professional.
