The Manager, Video & Content Production will play a pivotal role in presenting Indy Eleven in a professional, first-class fashion and as the preeminent club in the United Soccer League by leading all facets of the club’s video directives and assisting with storytelling initiatives for the team’s social media channels. 

 JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager, Video & Content Production’s primary role will include the oversight, production, shooting, editing, and post-production of all video projects for the club’s front office and team high performance/team side, including initiatives involving Indy Eleven’s USL Championship, USL W League, and USL Academy teams. The position’s secondary role will be to support the club’s social media initiatives by both creating original content and serving as a poster of content across the team’s suite of social media channels. The ideal candidate will have experience in both these video and content backgrounds, preferably within a sports-facing organization. 

The Manager, Video & Content Production will split time between the club’s front office located in downtown Indianapolis and the team training center located on the Grand Park Sports Campus in north suburban Westfield (approx. 35 minutes from downtown Indy). Exact hours at each location will be determined as project and workload dictates in coordination with the Vice President, Marketing & Club Growth. The flexibility to work weekends and nights as dictated by Indy Eleven’s match and event schedules is a must; this includes all USL Championship home matches at Carroll Stadium and select USL Championship away matches (via working remotely from home) and USL W League home matches at Grand Park.
 
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to track and complete multiple projects concurrently, and a track record for turning around quality materials on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Working well in a collaborative environment is also a high priority, as this person will work as part of the club’s “Creative Team” (spanning employees in the Marketing and Content/Communications Departments) – in addition to with various employees within the organization and outside partners as specific projects warrant.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·         Conceptualize, produce, and edit video content optimized for a variety of platforms, including but not limited to all social media platforms, broadcast, and in-stadium video boards.
·         Assist Marketing Department leadership in ensuring all video materials meet brand and content guidelines and that consistency is maintained across all content platforms.
·         In conjunction with the Creative Team, formulate and execute a video content strategy that will result in a material increase in followers and engagement across all social media channels, capitalizing on team news, current events, social media & pop culture trends, etc.
·         Film footage covering a wide variety of events connected to the club’s on- and off-the-field activities, including but not limited to training sessions and matches involving the Indy Eleven First Team (USL Championship), Women’s Senior Team (USL W League), and Academy (USL Academy League & USL Academy Cup); player, coach, and/or mascot appearances in the community; and various Community Partner and/or Corporate Partner activities involving members of the organization.  
·         Understanding of project briefs and working with team members to deliver to the requirements of the job; including timelines, budgets, and formats of design projects.
·         Assist in the Creative Team’s digital asset management process, including organizing and archiving of video files and select graphics files.
·         Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload without supervision.
·         A high degree of integrity and the ability to operate with discretion, confidentiality, poise under pressure, strong organization skills, and an ability to adapt to changing situations 
·         Take a lead role in the hiring, supervision, evaluation, and mentorship duties associated with the Video Communications Intern role across the three annual internship terms 
·         Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Qualifications:       
·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/ University in a related field preferred. 
·         Minimum of two (2) years video production experience with a professional sports team or related position required; ability to provide portfolio demonstrating capabilities and previous work also required.
·         Knowledge of soccer and sports/entertainment elements is an asset. 
·         Experience shooting with professional video cameras and a competency for low- and high-level cinematic principles (setting up equipment such as lighting or backdrops, ensuring audio equipment performs as needed, etc.).
·         Strong knowledge in broadcast production and major video formats/codecs, aspect ratios, and audio formats; ability to edit footage to use for a variety of formats including television and Internet.
·         Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere and After Effects, and ideally in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
·         Must be Proficient in creating content for and posting content to numerous social media channels – specifically X, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook – and formatting content for each specific channel.
·         Experience with content management systems is an asset, but not required.
·         Working knowledge to maintain video and graphics files in club’s internal network storage and in Microsoft Teams/SharePoint software. 
·         Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work productively and multi-task in an unstructured fast paced environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines. 
·         Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
·         Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in English - both verbal and written; bilingual in Spanish is an asset, but not required
·         Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires – including select out-of-market games during the USL Championship season.
