The Manager, Ticket Sales is responsible for assisting in managing the ticket sales team while also generating revenue through Season Ticket Memberships, Group Tickets, Flex Plans and Premium Hospitality. The candidate should be a self-motivated and positive professional with experience in planning, managing, and sales generation. The Manager, Ticket Sales will work under the guidance of the General Manager, Ticket Operations and Strategy. Salary commensurate to experience, with commission.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Generating ticket and hospitality sales through cold calling, networking, and face-to-face appointments in the local and regional corporate community
- Assist in managing / building sales team – train, manage and hire account executives
- Develop and maintain good-working relationships with both internal and external clients
- Meet and exceed established monthly and annual sales objectives and revenue goals
- Identify business opportunities by establishing professional and personal networks, proactively soliciting and following up on any sales leads and representing Indy Eleven at assigned functions
- Improve year-over-year corporate fan satisfaction, retention rates, and associated revenue and profitability goals with defined account base
- Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by leadership, with an emphasis at targeting of market Fortune 500 and Fortune 1,000 companies in the greater Indianapolis area
- Handle difficult fans and situations in a calm and professional matter, ensuring that each fan interaction results in increased loyalty to the team
- Ensure sales team practices within Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) are best in class and setting team up for future success
- Assist in the planning and execution of annual events within the Ticket Sales department
- Work assigned sales, promotional and team events during games and outside normal business hours
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of experience as a top sales producer, preferably in Sports & Entertainment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Team player with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Flexible and creative problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Previous experience working in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) and Ticketmaster Archtics (or other ticketing programs) is preferred
- Knowledge and passion for sales
- Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
- Flexibility in working extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
