Position Overview
As a Goalkeeper Video Analysis Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the 1st Team and Academy Goalkeeper Coach by specializing in the video analysis of goalkeepers. Your primary responsibilities will include recording training sessions and matches, collecting and evaluating video footage, and preparing goalkeeper-specific analysis materials to support performance development within the 1st Team and Academy.
Working closely with the Goalkeeper Coach and technical staff, you will use video analysis to deliver insights, feedback, and recommendations aimed at optimizing goalkeeper performance in a professional soccer environment.
This is an unpaid, in-person internship eligible for college credit.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the recording, cutting, clipping, and organization of video footage focused on goalkeeper performance during training sessions and matches
- Prepare goalkeeper-specific video materials for team training, individual goalkeeper sessions, and scouting reports
- Assist in the creation of pre-match and post-match analysis clips related to goalkeeper play
- Generate reports, presentations, and other documentation to support goalkeeper evaluation and development
- Undertake additional goalkeeper-focused projects or presentations as assigned by the coaching staff
Schedule & Commitment
- In-person position
- Availability required for training sessions Monday–Saturday
- Matchday availability required
- Schedule will align with 1st Team and Academy training and competition calendars
Requirements
- Strong passion for soccer with a keen interest in goalkeeper development and performance analysis
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in video editing and analysis software (or a strong willingness to learn)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with coaching staff and fellow interns
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, professional environment and meet deadlines
- Prior experience in video analysis or goalkeeper coaching is highly desirable but not required
