Position Overview:
Fort Lauderdale United Football Club is seeking an energetic and reliable Part-Time Prep Cook to join our concessions team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality food items quickly and consistently to serve fans during matches and events. The ideal candidate has strong kitchen skills, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food items in accordance with club recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Wash, chop, and store vegetables, meats, and other ingredients for service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines (including proper storage, labeling, and dating of food).
- Assist cooks and concessions staff with restocking stations during events.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down prep and cooking stations before and after events.
- Support other concessions duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a prep cook, kitchen assistant, or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during home matches.
Work Schedule
- Part-time position (10–20 hours per week, depending on match and event schedules).
- Shifts will be primarily evenings and weekends, with additional hours during tournaments and special events.
