Position Title: Groundskeeper
Position Overview:
The Groundskeeper, in collaboration with the Groundskeeping staff, is responsible for maintaining our natural and synthetic grass fields at Fort Lauderdale United FC facilities. This includes ensuring the fields are prepared for training sessions, home matches, concerts, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of natural and synthetic grass fields.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and ensure all equipment is operational.
- Collaborate with landscaping services to repair and maintain exterior grounds.
- Conduct daily field maintenance activities.
- Support additional tasks to maintain Fort Lauderdale United facilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in maintaining sports fields or golf courses.
- Strong interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in positions such as stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Variable hours, including potential early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
