Job Title: Barback

Position Summary: The Barback supports bartenders and bar staff by ensuring the bar is fully stocked, clean, and organized before, during, and after service. This role is essential for maintaining smooth bar operations, providing fast-paced assistance, and helping create a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Stock and replenish bar inventory (liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, napkins, straws, etc.) before, during, and after service 

• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including counters, shelves, coolers, sinks, and floor

• Assist bartenders with preparation of batches, garnishes, juices, syrups, and other bar essentials 

• Change kegs, replace CO₂ tanks, and ensure proper operation of bar equipment 

• Collect, wash, and restock drinkware throughout service 

• Remove trash, recyclables, and empty bottles promptly 

• Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries of bar supplies 

• Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including Florida Department of Health regulations 

• Provide support during busy periods by anticipating bartender needs 

• Occasionally assist in light customer service (delivering water, helping with crowd control, etc.) 

• Maintain compliance with Florida's responsible beverage service laws and regulations

Requirements: 

• Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred but not required 

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills 

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment 

• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (kegs, cases of liquor, etc.) 

• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays 

• Team-oriented with a positive attitude 

• Must be at least 18 years of age as required by Florida law for positions involving alcoholic beverages 

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods

Work Environment: 

• Fast-paced bar/restaurant setting 

• Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods 

• Direct interaction with bartenders, bar managers, and occasionally guests 

• Potential exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures
