The Photography & Videography Intern will play a key role in capturing and producing visual content that tells the story of the Vaqueros/Vaqueras across platforms — including match days, training sessions, community events, and behind-the-scenes moments. This internship offers hands-on experience in professional sports photography, videography, and content production within a fast-paced, creative environment. This internship runs from February 2026 through the end of our season which is middle July 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality photos and video of home matches, training sessions, press conferences, community events, and team activities. 

  • Produce engaging video content such as player features, highlights, social clips, and recap reels for use across social media and digital platforms. 

  • Assist with photo/video editing, digital asset organization, tagging, and archiving in accordance with team standards. 

  • Coordinate with the creative team to ensure content aligns with brand style, voice, and campaign goals

  • Support game-day content capture — including crowd scenes, goals, key plays, celebrations, and behind-the-scenes storytelling. 

  • Assist in managing and preparing visual assets for in-stadium video boards, social assets, website galleries, and marketing materials. 

  • Help maintain equipment, assist with setup/breakdown on shoots, and collaborate across departments as needed. 

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in photography and/or videography, including camera operation and live event shooting. 

  • Working knowledge of photo/video editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). 

  • Strong visual storytelling skills with a creative eye for composition, lighting, and motion. 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and match days. 

  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. 

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university program (or recently graduated, depending on structure) and eligible for college credit if applicable. 

Preferred

  • Previous experience with sports photography/videography specifically. 

  • Familiarity with social media trends and creating platform-optimized content. 

  • Experience working with digital asset management systems and cloud archives. 

Learning Opportunities

  • Build a professional portfolio with real-world sports content. 

  • Work directly with experienced content creators in a professional sports environment. 

  • Gain experience across multiple aspects of media production, from pre-production planning to post-production delivery.
