The Fort Worth Vaqueros organization to include the Fort Worth Vaqueras are preparing for a monumental year in growth with the upcoming FIFA World Cup. We are building an organization to help continue growth and catapult this club to the next level of professional soccer in Cowtown. This role will be a key part of that journey—working hand-in-hand with the community to create deep and meaningful partnerships that ensure the Vaqueros continue to be a community rooted soccer club.
Position Summary:
You will be responsible for identifying new sponsorship opportunities, to work closely with the Partnerships Manager and the GM to deliver high quality partnerships that ensure sponsor satisfaction and retention. This is a hands-on, front-facing role ideal for a strategic thinker who can blend sales acumen with creative execution

As our Partnership Sales & Activation Intern, you’ll help grow the club’s corporate presence leading into the season and help bring those partnerships to life once the season kicks off.
What You’ll Do
Pre-Season (Primary Focus: Sales & Prospecting):
- Research and build detailed prospect lists across targeted industries.
- Assist with outreach to potential partners via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
- Help prepare pitch decks, proposals, outreach templates, and custom partnership ideas.
- Support scheduling and preparation for sales meetings with businesses.
- Track prospects, conversations, and follow-ups within CRM or Google Workspace.
- Represent the club at off-season community events to engage potential partners.
- Prepare in-season activations prior to the season starting.
In-Season (Primary Focus: Activation & Service Support)
- Assist in executing partnership activations on game days (on-field promotions, signage checks, giveaways, hospitality, concourse activations, etc.).
- Support the fulfillment of partnership deliverables and gather proof-of-performance assets.
- Help manage communication and coordination with existing partners.
- Organize activation notes, photos, and data for end-of-season recap reports.
- Collaborate with front office staff on creative ideas to improve activations and visibility.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain organized project and communication files across Basecamp, Google Drive, etc.
- Contribute ideas to help improve sales strategy, fan engagement, and partner experience.
- Assist with other duties as assigned within the partnership department.

This internship is a great opportunity for college students looking to break into the sports industry and gain valuable, hands-on experience.
Internships can be done for credits (active undergraduate students and graduate students) or experience (active undergraduate students, graduate students, and post graduates). There is commission bonus for partnerships sold.
