Position Overview
The Community Engagement & Fan Ambassador serves as a highly visible representative of the Fort Worth Vaqueros and Vaqueras within the community. This role supports the Community Engagement Manager by attending local events, activating the club’s brand in public spaces, and creating meaningful interactions with fans and future supporters.
This individual embodies the spirit of the Vaqueros and Vaqueras—someone who proudly represents the club, builds authentic relationships with fans, and enthusiastically spreads the story of soccer in Fort Worth.
Key Responsibilities
Community Presence
- Attend community events, festivals, youth soccer events, watch parties, and grassroots activations as a representative of the club.
- Assist with setup, activation, and breakdown of club booths, tents, and promotional displays.
- Serve as a friendly, approachable face of the organization in the community.
Be the Face of the Club
- Represent the Vaqueros and Vaqueras at community events, festivals, youth soccer tournaments, and local gatherings.
- Welcome new fans and share the story of the club.
- Create a fun and welcoming atmosphere wherever the club shows up.
Build the Fanbase
- Talk with fans about upcoming matches, programs, and events.
- Encourage people to attend games and become part of the Vaqueros family.
- Help collect emails, leads, and social followers.
Bring Energy to Matchdays
- Help with fan activations, giveaways, and promotions.
- Welcome fans as they enter the stadium.
- Create an exciting matchday environment.
Activate the Brand
- Set up and run Vaqueros booths or tents at community events.
- Hand out swag, flyers, and information about the club.
- Help promote youth programs and community initiatives.
Fan Engagement
- Interact with fans and supporters to create memorable experiences and build loyalty to the club.
- Share information about upcoming matches, programs, and initiatives with fans.
- Capture fan leads and help grow the club’s supporter database.
Brand Promotion
- Actively promote the Fort Worth Vaqueros and Vaqueras brand throughout the community.
- Distribute promotional materials, merchandise, and ticket information.
- Help create excitement around matchdays and club initiatives.
Event & Matchday Support
- Assist with fan activations at home matches including promotions, giveaways, and sponsor activations.
- Support grassroots marketing initiatives including youth club outreach, school visits, and watch parties.
- Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all fans attending events.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Community Engagement Manager to execute outreach strategies and events.
- Provide feedback from fans and the community to help improve engagement efforts.
- Assist other departments when needed to support club goals.
Qualifications
- Passion for soccer and the mission of the Fort Worth Vaqueros and Vaqueras.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Outgoing personality and comfort interacting with large groups of people.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
- Reliable transportation to attend community events across the Fort Worth area.
- Experience in sports, events, marketing, or community outreach is preferred but not required.
