Account Executive, Group and Hospitality Sales
Position Overview:
The Account Executive, Group and Hospitality Sales, main responsibility is to produce ticket revenue by developing and maintaining group ticket accounts through the sale of gameday group outings, fundraisers, private hospitality events, and single-match suite events. You will sell new group accounts to decision makers within businesses, organizations, residential accounts, youth sports community, and non-profit community among others through outside sales appointments, ballpark tours, and over the phone.
Essential Job Functions:
- Meet all sales goals assigned.
- Set appointments over the phone with decision-makers, consistently meeting the weekly goals for sales appointments.
- Tailor gameday event packages according to each client organization’s needs.
- Handle objections in an effort to bring in new group accounts and retain existing ones.
- Develop and maintain a database of potential group gameday event customers through diligent and consistent use of the CRM system and pipeline management system.
- Contact group leaders through the database and through new leads to bring in new sales.
- Prospect for quality leads, particularly through asking for referrals, outbound activity, research, and community involvement.
- Provide customer service to existing accounts by visiting with them during games, as well as provide amenities.
- Make phone calls during the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact with group leaders and event planners.
- Work with the box office to update sales reports.
- Complete any customer service and operational duties as assigned.
Experience
- Must have previous sales experience in group sales or membership-based ticket sales, from a prior sports organization.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in sales, sales internships will count, with proven performance of success in sales.
