Ticket Operations Supervisor
Location: Detroit, MI
About Detroit City FC
Detroit City FC (DCFC) is a progressive, community-driven professional soccer club that embodies the spirit of Detroit’s resilience and pride. Known for its passionate supporter base and commitment to inclusivity, DCFC has become a symbol of innovation and connection, fostering meaningful relationships with fans, businesses, and the local community. As a member of the United Soccer League, DCFC is dedicated to excellence both on and off the pitch.
With an eye towards future growth, DCFC is preparing for a transformative milestone: the opening of a new stadium, AlumniFi Field. To that end, the club is dedicated to winning matches, promoting the sport of soccer, fostering a diverse and inclusive
environment, authentic storytelling, and making our city a safer and more equitable place.
Position Purpose
Detroit City FC is seeking a technically-minded Ticket Operations Supervisor. This is a "back-end" role focused on the architecture, manifest management, and financial reconciliation of our ticketing systems.
You will be responsible for the architecture of our ticketing platform, ensuring that every seat, parking pass, and non-matchday event is built correctly for our sales team to sell and our fans to enjoy. As we look toward our stadium transition, you will play a vital role in setting up the technical infrastructure for a significantly larger and more complex venue.
Key Responsibilities
● System Architecture & Manifest Management
o Technical Build: Own the end-to-end setup of the ticketing manifest (currently SeatGeek/SRO), including the creation of price levels, hold codes, promotional codes, and inventory blocks.
o Platform Evolution: Lead the technical migration for the club’s transition to a new stadium.
o Yield Management: Actively monitor inventory levels to ensure seats are released strategically to maximize revenue and ensure optimal "house dressing" for broadcasts.
o Non-Matchday Events: Manage the back-end setup and settlement for third-party events, including concerts, stadium tours, and community rentals.
● Access Control & Match Day Leadership
o Gate Operations: Own the technical success of match day entry, including scanner configuration, software syncing, and troubleshooting gate connectivity.
o High-Level Troubleshooting: Act as the final point of escalation for complex ticketing issues on match days, allowing the game day box office staff and sales staff to focus on fan interaction.
o Staff Management: Oversee the hiring, training, and scheduling of part- time match day box office staff.
● Financial Reconciliation
o Settlement: Work closely with the DCFC Accounting team to reconcile daily ticket sales, service fees, and taxes.
o Audit Compliance: Ensure all ticketing transactions are documented and transparent for internal and external financial audits.
Qualifications
● Experience: 2+ years in ticketing operations or box office management (Sports/Live Entertainment required).
● Technical Skills: Deep experience with enterprise ticketing systems (SeatGeek/SRO, Architics, AXS, Paciolan, etc.). You must be comfortable navigating complex database back-ends.
● Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of sales reconciliation and "settling the house" post-event.
● Leadership: Proven ability to manage and oversee a large seasonal staff.
● Collaborative Nature: Must work seamlessly with the Sales team and the Business Strategy team.
This position does not require a valid driver’s license.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary aligned with experience.
Comprehensive benefits including health, and soon, retirement.
